Together with my colleague, Lisa Wollmann, I am offering an English language group for adults suffering from anxiety.
CONTENT
We introduce core components of Cognitive behavioral therapy (or CBT, for short) for anxiety:
How do your thoughts and feelings influence your experiences? How can you interfere with this process?
Learn about what makes you anxious.
Learn to challenge your thoughts, push yourself out of your comfort zone and experience anxiety with a little more distance and control, in a judgment-free environment.
Learn some basic strategies in overcoming anxiety.
WHY GROUP THERAPY?
You will meet others with similar experiences.
Through the other group members, begin to reconsider your own fears and behaviors.
There is a clear structure, including an end - within the eight-week program you will be motivated to maximise your use of the group.
It will be less expensive than regular, individual therapy.
